Diffrent parts around the world celebrate Christmas differantly. Here, in America, the tradition is to sleep on Christmas Eve and wake up on Christmas Day to presents! Then spend the day with family. In Peru, when I lived there, we party on Christmas Eve (it is very hot since Christmas is in summer in Peru) at the beach or at home with the family, then when the clock strikes 12, we watch an enourmas display of fireworks and exchange “Feliz Navidad”s and Santa comes and gives the presents face to face to the kids.
How does your culture and family celebrate Christmas? Even if you live in the states (like I do), many people still do traditional cultural things. Since it is cold here, we don’t watch fireworks outside or go to the beach, but we still gather on Eve.
What about you?
CANNOT FORGET THE PANTETON!
Christmas is never complete without some Donofrio Paneton (in, Peru, it is a very famous brand of Panteton. And in case you did’nt know, paneton is a popular South American treat it’s kinda like fruitcake, only softer and yummier! It is very traditional to eat it around Christmastime.
