Today, there was a homecoming in Indianapolis at Lucas Oil Stadium for our soldiers who have returned from Iraq.
25 of those soldiers parked their cars at a White Castle within a couple of blocks of Lucas Oil Stadium after being assured by “The manager” of that restaurant, that it was okay to do so.
Thousands of people from all over the state of Indiana risked life and limb to make it down there to show support for our soldiers.
Despite the fact that these brave men and women followed their orders and risked their very LIVES to do so…
You don’t have to like this fucking war. You don’t have to agree with it. But these people deserve at least a stupid simple KUDO for putting their necks on the possible “chopping block” for their country.
Would you have them dealing meth in parking lots instead?
So what did this White Castle do while those brave men and women were feeling PROUD and HAPPY to be AMERICANS who did what they were asked to do? To thousands who traveled to say “Thank You”?
White Castle had their cars TOWED from the parking lot.
At a cost, with our brave soldiers, men and women, young and older, out in the cold having to go to a towing yard and paying 165.
00 each to get their cars after WHITE CASTLE had those cars TOWED!
Well how dee hoe….welcome home now PAY UP!
DIsgraceful. Totally disgusting on the part of WHITE CASTLE……
I just saw this report on WTHR channel 13 in Indianapolis with some lame response on the part of “CORPORATE” White Castle saying they would pay the towing fees via a cell phone “recording”. They’re gonna “make it right”. “Do the right thing”….blah blah blah…….
I’m a vet. I served my country honorably and I KNOW the sacrifices military men and women gladly endure in service to their nation.
Here is a link to the story; it’s new. Just aired tonight……
Shame shame shame…….
This silly corporate bullshit has GOT TO STOP!
This is STILL the United States and these brave men and women deserve more than THIS!
Here’’s the story as copied from WTHR, Channel 13’s Website……

Indianapolis – Several Indiana National Guardsmen got a surprise when they left a ceremony welcoming them home Saturday.
According to Specialist Ronnie Capps, about 25 guardsmen had their cars towed from a White Castle parking lot during the ceremony at Lucas Oil Stadium. Capps said they had permission to park in the lot of the White Castle restaurant on South Street, but when they returned, their cars were gone.
“We came home and we get to told to park there, they said it was fine, the manager said it was fine at White Castle down the road and next thing you know, we come out from our ceremony, our welcome home, and it was like a welcome home present, the car was gone,” said Spec. Capps.
With the tow came a $165 charge for the soldiers and airmen.
As if having their car towed wasn’t bad enough, the soldiers had to walk three blocks in the snow, some of them with small children in tow.
“The women are out here getting cold and we’re getting cold and their kids, they’re sitting at White Castle until they get their cars back. It’s just unnecessary,” Capps said.
The tow left a bad taste in the soldiers’ mouth.
“I used to come up to Indy at least once a week just to go to White Castle. No more,” said one soldier.
The manager on duty at the White Castle told Eyewitness News she was unable to comment about the situation, instead referring questions to Jamie Richardson with the White Castle corporation. Richardson said the company is working to make amends with the troops.
“What we didn’t realize, what we are feverishly working to make right, we didn’t know necessarily this was related to our troops coming home, which we have the utmost respect and support,” Richardson said.
The White Castle lot is prime parking for any event at Lucas Oil Stadium, it’s just a block east. The company says, out of respect to their customers, the lot is monitored around the clock to ensure parking for custom

Hell no that wasn’t right, that behavior is unpatriotic and distasteful.
Man, that’s pretty crazy. Kind of reminds me of the scene from the movie Waiting where the manager gets his kicks by ordering a tow truck driver to come out there to tow some guy’s car. That manager from White Castle that made the decision messed up big time. He thought he was tough by getting these cars towed but instead he created a public relations mess for White Castle. That manager should be disciplined or fired. Imagine all of the customers that White Castle lost by doing such a thing. The returning troops deserve a lot better than this.
