She seems to enjoy talking to me whenever I talk to her. Also, I saw her yesterday after a week of not seeing her because I’ve been absent from work and she got a big smile on her face when I showed up yesterday after a week and looked right at me and greeted me as I was walking in to work even though she was talking to a client. She usually just finishes what she does, with me walking right past her when I go in for work, and greets me after I greet her.

Also, I asked her yesterday morning how her thanksgiving went and she briefly said “just fine thanks” and that was it. Then about a few hours later after my mom (who is her boss) left for the restroom she asked how my Thanksgiving went. Then she gleefully told me how she went to a Peruvian restaurant for the first time this past weekend (my parents are from Peru, which she knows, and she’s Mexican) and how she tried lots of different foods for the first time and liked it. But she just stopped talking right when my mom walked in.

I’ve thought about asking her out for coffee but I can’t really do that because she takes her break in the break room which is right next door to my mom’s office and she definitely does not want my mom to see/hear us talking. She has demonstrated this every time we’re having a conversation and she just abruptly stops talking if my mom walks in the room. But she’ll talk to me if my mom steps out for the restroom or something.

Now I’ve never dated someone from work, let alone at where I work now since my mom is usually present. So my question are: how do I ask her out and do I tell my mom? She is 20 and I’m 22 if that helps.

Oh, and I sometimes see her on Saturdays( my mom always stays home on the weekends) to do some work. Would a Saturday be a good time to ask her out?

Now the family that wrote me the invitation and were listed as the people whom I was staying with while in the US tried to invite another friend of theirs, who was refused a visa, because of me. Apparently, at the embassy, they asked her if she knew me, and she denied because everybody completely forgot that initially I was listed as staying with them.
Now, my question is, can I call somewhere or write some letter anywhere, explaining that I only staid with them for a week or two and that now I am traveling??? Because I would **** it if they could not invite none of their relatives because of me ((

I love to travel and I have an oppurtunity to go to Peru during Christmas and I dont know if I should. I need help evaluating the pros and cons.

Pros:
- My friend and her family are visiting her brother who has recently moved there, and I would spend new years and christmas with them at his house in Lima
-As an anthropology-archaeology major Peru has always been the most interesting country and my personal favorite, going to Peru is a dream come true
-I found a pretty cheap plane ticket that I must buy ASAP otherwise it wil be too expensive
-Im going on exchange to a university across the country starting in january, and I would go directly there from Peru, so I have to buy a plane ticket anyway
-I plan on taking a gap year starting in april to do an international internship, volunteer, travel and I could use some travel experience
-although I would like to go Peru during my gap year, its not guaranteed that I will

Cons
-I will miss christmas with my family, and my birthday, which ive never done before, but what is worst is that i wouldnt return home, I would go straight to vancover for four months on an exchange for university and my mom hates that i am going to be away from home for so long, she believes I should live at home until i get married (which I think is psycho, but I dont want to upset her)
-Going to Peru means I would have to leave right after my finals in december, and since my friend and her brother wont be there yet, i will spend the first 10 days there alone, backpacking, which is kinda scary for a 22 year old white female with veeeery little travel experience
-To get the cheap flight, I have to miss the first day of school. I would arrive and have to move in the second day of classes and have the rest of my stuff shipped from home (montreal)
-my health is uncertain right now. I think everything is fine, and I am just suffering from anxiety (i have an anxiety disorder), but I recently had a whole bunch of tests done for really scary diseases and only get the results in three weeks, so i have to book before knowing if i am sick (which I doubt, but still)
- due to the above, altitude sickness and malaria are a concern

So what do i do??? Should I take this oppurtunity to go to Peru or pass it up for now???

I wouldn’t mind volunteering, teaching, learning or working – any of them. I would just love to travel this summer, regardless.
I’ve looked at lots of different websites but there doesn’t seem to be anything that’s not somewhere like India or Peru.
Could anyone suggest anything?

I didnt care i was in love ! ..the day before going back to USA..my friend understood that what we felt for each other was so strong that she had nothing to do there..so she backed up. I left to USA heart broken ..we kept in contact thrue phone and letters…Many phone calls!! and tons of letters!! emails!!! etc ..when my father realized that i was talking to him he started to leave me in USA when going to Peru…that was the worst to me.or if he took me it was a mission impossible to see him ..i had to scape from aunt houses or auncles houses just to be at least with him for a minute.., this situation kept going for 3 years..and we still felt the same for each other..untill i was finally 18 and we decided to get married ..for that i had to travel to USA to Peru …so my father decided to have a trip over there ..ithougth to my self this will be my chance and only oportuniy to do this., so i went with my dad to peru …and a day before leaving my house over there..a friend of the family calls me and invites me to her house i accepted..i got to her house and she starts talking to me about this boy..telling me ..”u look so in love with him…but i have to tell you this..when u come from usa he acts like one person..stays home and thats it…but when ur here he cheats on you with ur friend “they still together” plus she is pregnant and there is no doubt that he is the father of the baby” … I let her talked and when she finished i just got up and asked her is this all true …she replied” yes it is”…I walked out of her house with a Pain that up to now i havent felt in my life …wanting to cry so much but i didnt i kept it to myself…so i called him when i got hom and asked him to meet me..when i saw him and tlloked at him onthe eyes. I said” please just tell me truth …and i told him everything that this lady told me..” he looked at me and said nooo are u crazy ….etc.., although i wanted to believe him ..i was just so hurt that I only knew i didnt wanted to feel that way again in my life and i was afarid to say okay i believe you…when i got home that night i was wanted to be back in USA and forget about all this…! later on I met a guy in USA that i knew from hight school and although i was never in love with him but liked him a lil i married him and untill this point i leave with him.. no kids..however about 2 months ago . talking to my cousin in Peru he tell methat he had something to confess to me ..well he tell me that my father paid this lady to tell me these things..they were not true..and yes my friend was pregnant but it was from a guy she was going out with ..not my bf.. untill now i still talk to him on the phone ..and he asks me to go back to him to get married ..i do like him a lot still ..and never been in love again since then.. but at the same time i have a family here which is my husband.. i dont know what to do ! i really dont ..i know that this is just a site to communicate and not to make decisions this big in life ..but i would like to know what you think…thank u for taking the time to read my story .
