i cant believe im the only one who noticed that some of these arent even countries anymore and are empires that existed 1000 years ago…. like the holy roman empire and the ottoman empire (although that was only 100 years ago)

I’m from Newfoundland but unless your list is pre-1949 We’re not an independent country. ( although some people would like it to be) Newfoundland is a province of Canada.
