Ted M P asked:

As many of you know, I have been in the building supply industry for some time. The past several years primarily dealing with exotic hardwoods such as mahogany and teak. This wood would ( ha -wood would ) be used for doors, windows, libraries and patios for some of the most expensive homes in Connecticut.
After watching the 1992 animated cartoon ” Ferngully- The Last Rainforest” with my children, they turned to look at me, and with tearful eyes said, ” Father, do you cut down trees in the rainforest?”
I had to lie, and say no. But they know, children always do.

It was then I had an epiphany. My life would mean nothing if I kept on going on like this. After careful mathematical calculations, I personally am responsible for 11.65 acres of devastated forest. This must come to an end.
After months of planning, I have arranged to travel to Brazil, Peru, and Ecuador to replant small mahogany tree saplings. It will be dangerous and demanding work, with death always just one step away.

I tried to convince my wife* to stay here, back in the States, but she insisted on traveling with me. Plus, with the Mexican border war going on, she really does not feel safe here alone.
She has turned into the brains of the operation. Not only has she found government grant money to fund my trip, she has also been granted funding for her own personal research. She has been on a quest for the ‘Green Butt’ monkey. For years she has researched the possible ways of obtaining these animals for her collection. She convinced the government that mating habits of these animals must be observed and recorded in the event the species is in danger of becoming extinct. All she has to provide is video footage of their habitat, and several ***** samples from the animals to check the DNA patterns. How she plans to do that is up to her. She is the ” Scientist ”

Her ability to retain funding is second to none. Even with this economic crisis, she managed to secure thousands of dollars for supplies, a Range Rover ( test drives!!!), small automatic weapons, unlimited credit at Cabela’s, Bass Pro Shops, and Frederick’s of Hollywood. (You should really look your best when you travel. Plus the camo thongs!! Awesome.)

But it does not stop there. To avoid commercial airports and customs, she has arranged for a naval insertion. The giggles when she told me that we would be on a boat with close to 300 seamen, and a naval insertion, still gives me goosebumps.

We will also search out a childhood dream of mine. I read about an Amazon woman warrior tribe called ” Do uwuana eetmie ” . These warriors are mythical and legendary. Only 2 known explorers have seen these woman. One in the 70’s who wrote a story for ‘National Geographic’ and one other , who told his story in ‘Penthouse Forum’ in the mid 90’s. I feel with Courtney by my side, we will gain the trust of these woman, and for once be able to tell their story. These woman only use men for manual labor and breeding. I believe the custom is for the tribe leaders to “trade” men at first meeting. Thus CMP, as our tribe leader, would be able to insert herself into the tribal customs.

That should be exciting. I’m assuming CMP will be able to teach them the joys of artificial stimulation, condoms, and other sensual woman secrets. They may never let her leave.

Good news is that we will have laptops and access to government satellite feeds. We will check in as often as possible. Hopefully, we will succeed with every part of the journey. I guess an added bonus would be finding some turquoise shelled turtle that she would like to make jewerly from, and I guess the meat is some sexual stimulant. Maybe we will come across those as well.

Well my friends, sorry to carry on so long. I know I will miss all of you a great deal.
Oh yeah, the sunscreen. 30-45- or 50 ? And do you think we will need some OFF bug repellant?

Thanks
Stripped & Striped– I have told you many times, I cannot even be within 100 yards of Wal-Mart. It all stems back to that incident when I found the blue employee vest, and then proceeded to place those little yellow smiley faces on woman like they were pasties. I was escorted off the premises.. It was all over CNN.

On another hand, in Canada, (I am Canadian citizen) yet my passport is taken away and I don’t have the basic services normal Canadians do

kk so i read someone on yahoo answers.. a girl or woman said: something like i feel so close in other cultures (ex: spanish) she didn’t know what her ehtnicty was. so she figured it could of been spanish cause of that.!!!

so my question is can feelings tell you, your ethnicty?

cause i have german/irish/salvadorian and spain in me that i know of

and i feel so strange about Russian, My grandma was adopted she doesn’t know her ethnicty

and i like when i hear russian music i feel like i’m home…. i feel that way with sweden switzerland and scotland!!!! what does that mean?
and feel alittle bit strange about eygpt

does that mean i just like their music?
does that mean i have russian, scotish and swizterland in Mi?
or is it both?
i feel the same about Africa, chinese? but i do know for sure that i do like chinese music and african.. i think the chinese and african feeling came cause i like their songs idk.. but as for the Scot/Swiz/Russ i don’t know?

by the way my grandma doesn’t have white american/european skin
she looks italian, well white italians as in lightish dark skin… she was adopted i think from italians. she doesn’t know. but raised in america
as you can tell when you see drawings you can tell which are african americans cause of their ****** features… my grandma mexican, she doesn’t look south american.. she more looks like spanish europeon. like italian. but she also looks russian to me… i can be wrong….

kk here are a list of ethnicty someone said i looked like:
Russian ish
Polish
hispanic
caucasian
Canadian?
From Peru?
Lithuanian?
Lebanese
Serbian
Maltese.
iranian/british
bosnian
Turkish/american
Indian

so my question over all is:
so can feelings about a place tell you, your ethnicity?
is just cause i like there music?
or both?
can ****** features tell you about your ethnicty?
i don’t have a picture of my grandma online
but i do have mines: of course i said
irish german
salvadorian/Spain
so you don’t have to say hispanic:

Hi all
Really need some advice. My fiance and the father of my 4 year old has gone off with another woman. He has played with us emotionally, he has been violent towards us, he takes cocaine, drinks out of control etc etc. He has moved out, but only 300 meters away from me, and I have to see him with his new woman regulalry. Our son is getting very upset too – he has no contact with our 4 year old, due to his drug problems, leaving the children on their own etc etc. Claims he is chaning for new woman, but he has been like this for so long, I do doubt that.
Anyway, to the point – I actually got him where he is now – He was nothing when we met – I did his CV for him, helped him with all his interviews (admittedly I didn’t go to the interviews, he did do that bit himself)!! – but recently he got promoted and thats when our probs really started, as he had to be away from home alot. I am left with no money, no fiance, and children and a mortgage to pay for, I want him to pay for what he has done – if he loses his job, he will more than likely move away. He was sentenced to 25 years in jail in Peru when he was 25, 9 years ago now – but he only served 5 years, as his Dad managed to get him out – It was for smuggling cocaine. Can I somehow use the drugs and hte charges against him to get him away from me and stop him ruining the rest of my life. It is kind of revenge, but he has ****** me dry, I am not coping with things at all. He works for a large org in the UK.
Any advice??

Obama: ACORN WILL SHAPE MY AGENDA
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8vJcVgJhNaU&feature=player_embedded
The same ACORN that is continually in trouble for voter fraud, the same ACORN that has pushed the subprime mortgage crisis that has destabilized our economy, is, in the words of Barack Obama, going to shape our national agenda.

Stanley Kurtz asks if Barack Obama’s most important radical connection has been hiding in plain sight all along? Obama has had an intimate and long-term association with the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN), the largest radical group in America. If I told you Obama had close ties with MoveOn.org or Code Pink, you’d know what I was talking about. ACORN is at least as radical as these better-known groups, arguably more so. Yet because ACORN works locally, in carefully selected urban areas, its national profile is lower. ACORN likes it that way. And so, I’d wager, does Barack Obama.
http://www.federalreview.com/2008/10/obama-acorn-will-shape-my-agenda.htm
http://article.nationalreview.com/?q=NDZiMjkwMDczZWI5ODdjOWYxZTIzZGIyNzEyMjE0ODI=&w=MA==

The Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN), describes itself as a community-based organization that advocates for low and moderate income families by working on neighborhood safety, health care and other social issues.

ACORN has over 350,000 members and more than 850 neighborhood chapters in over 100 cities across the United States, as well as in Argentina, Canada, Mexico, and Peru. ACORN was founded in 1970 by Wade Rathke and Gary Delgado. Maude Hurd has been National President of ACORN since 1990.

ACORN agitates for better housing and wages for the poor, more community development investment from banks and governments, and better public schools. ACORN pursues these goals through intimidation, demonstration, negotiation, legislation, and voter participation. They do the Alinsky.

ACORN is made up of several legally distinct parts including local non-profits, a national lobbying organization and the ACORN Housing Corporation. ACORN lies when it says it is non-partisan, and always aligned with the Democratic Party on policy.

ACORN is again up to its eyeballs if a formal program of voter registration fraud in their registration programs in a dozen battleground states, but in this election cycle, to a degree never before seen. This year, its voter registration efforts that have resulted in criminal investigations in a dozen states.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Association_of_Community_Organizations_for_Reform_Now

ACORN’s real genius is getting American taxpayers to foot the bill. According to a 2006 report from the Employment Policies Institute (EPI), ACORN has been on the federal take since 1977. For instance, ACORN’s American Institute for Social Justice claimed $240,000 in tax money between fiscal years 2002 and 2003. Its American Environmental Justice Project received 100% of its revenue from government grants in the same years. EPI estimates the ACORN Housing Corporation alone received some $16 million in federal dollars from 1997-2007. Only recently, Democrats tried and failed to stuff an “affordable housing” provision into the $700 billion bank rescue package that would have let politicians give even more to ACORN.

All this money gives ACORN the ability to pursue its other great hobby: electing liberals. ACORN is spending $16 million this year to register new Democrats and is already boasting it has put 1.3 million new voters on the rolls. The big question is how many of these registrations are real.
http://online.wsj.com/article/SB122394051071230749.html?mod=rss_opinion_main

Obama in his own words clearly acknowledged his close association with ACORN, his acceptance of ACORN’s radical methodology and his appreciation for the support of the organization in his run for the presidency.

ACORN also played an instrumental role in urging lenders to extend home mortgages to subprime borrowers, pushing charges against banks in the 1980s that their home lending practices amounted to “red-lining,” in violation of the 1977 Community Reinvestment Act, according to a report published by Stan Liebowitz in the New York Post.

In 1994, lawyer Obama, a graduate of Harvard Law School then fresh from his Project Vote! experience, represented ACORN in the Buycks-Roberson v. Citibank Federal Savings Bank case, in which ACORN pressed for Citibank to make more loans to marginally qualified African-American applicants “in a race neutral way.”

After obtaining a settlement in the Citibank litigation, ACORN used its subsidiary organization ACORN Housing, a nationwide organization with offices in more than 30 U.S. cities, to push the group’s radical agenda to get subprime home buyers mortgages under the most favorable terms possible.

The meltdown in subprime home mortgages has been widely regarded as a major c
The meltdown in subprime home mortgages has been widely regarded as a major contributing cause of the current recession that officially began in December 2008 after two consecutive quarters of negative growth in gross domestic product, or GDP.

During 2008, the Obama presidential campaign attempted to distance the candidate from ACORN voter fraud by arguing that the U.S. Department of Justice was on the same side of the Citibank case as was lawyer Obama, reflecting the Clinton Administration’s determination to expand homeownership among the poor.

“Barack Obama strongly condemns voter registration fraud or any other breach of election law by any party or group,” Ben LaBolt, an Obama campaign spokesman, said in a statement,. as reported by the New York Times.
While the Obama administration’s $787 economic stimulus package did not funnel federal funds to ACORN by name, the bill signed by the president included some $2 billion for non-profit “neighborhood stabilization” non-governmental organizations. Some of those funds could be allocated to ACORN to buy abandoned or foreclosed homes in impoverished neighborhoods, with the intent to rehabilitate them for resale or rental.

Votes
Pushed to meet daily quotas and bullied by bosses if they didn’t, Ohio ACORN workers faked voter registrations, signed up people more than once, and even paid off registrants to keep from being fired, its canvassers told The Post.

“Every day, there was pressure on us. Every single day,” said Teshika Elder, a Cleveland single mom of three who worked for ACORN this summer.

“We had meetings every morning where they’d go over your quota; they’d yell at you if you were low,” said Elder, 21. “They’d sit us down and say if you didn’t do better, they’d suspend you
They’d say, ‘Try harder next time,’ [and] if you didn’t get it, you’d be fired.”

Desperate canvassers sometimes resorted to trading cigarettes, cash and food in exchange for registrations, according to Elder and two other former ACORN workers, Jaymes Sanford, 18, and Selvin Cunningham, 23.

Some voters were signed up more than once, and said that worried — or lazy — canvassers sometimes filled out bogus cards.

The three workers were all fired after they and a dozen other canvassers were identified in a Cuyahoga County Election Board probe as having turned in multiple registrations for the same voters.

The board, which estimates it got more than 8,700 suspect cards — with multiple registrations, bad addresses or phony information — from ACORN has turned the matter over to local prosecutors.

“It was just little stuff — a dollar, a cigarette — given to people so that they’d register,” said Sanford, a former team leader.

“People are scared of not making their quotas,” he said.
Obamabot why don’t you track all their fraud at rottenacorn.com?

You’re just defending the indefensible. That is called being an IDEALOGUE where you have stopped listening to reason and fact.

she’s going to peru tomorrow and my mum works 9 – 6 every week to support us. I am unemployed and everyday I’m always busy going out to network and contact relevant employers. Sometimes I get volunteering work which involves unsocial hours and the industry I’m working in involves unsocial hours anyway. my mum says that I’m being selfish because I’m not helping her with the farewell party to Peru cooking and that she had to cook the meals herself for the guests and she blames me that I should have come home earlier to tidy up the house. It’s not my fault that I’m busy networking and working voluntary to get to a career that I want. My mum divorced my dad when I was a teenager and I used to help her with housework and food shopping etc. so she doesn’t have to, now I have responsibilities of my own she tells me how selfish I am that I’m not helping her. I told her I’m busy. she says busy with what? networking and voluntary work that you’re not gonna get paid for? she reckons that I could get a paid job so I could help her rather than voluntary work. I had to even call in sick which I’m not alowed from voluntary work that i’m doing to help my sister tidy up the house for her farewell party. then she complains that I don’t tidy up properly. she says voluntary work is a waste of time because she says that I’m spending money more on food and transport. i get JSA to support me. my mum also said call in sick for work so that I can help her at the lauderette she owns and when I come home at 10pm I asked my mum what food she cooked. she said she didn’t cook because she came home at 7pm cos she was tired and that I was selfish to ask that question because I expected her to cook. she says why I would want to work in the events industry because it’s hard work when I could take over her launderette. I said it’s gonna be a waste if I don’t work that related to my degree. she say well she has a law degree and where is she now working at a launderette, you know not everyone works in the industry which they did a degree for so don’t expect too much from the degree you did.

I told her that I want to work as an internship in america she says who’s gonna look after me then in london and what if you leave keys at the flat in america and not bein able to get in. I used to leave my keys when I was in my teens but now I’m more responsible but she brings it up because she doesn’t want me to leave her. what if this and that. my sister looked at my mum’s savings and didn’t have a lot of money and she blames me and says do you not care that mum doesn’t have any money in her savings. how is it my fault. why is it that my sister’s allowed to go travelling and i’m not
my voluntary work is the best option to get into my future career.

I’m 20 years old and am planning my first vacation on my own. I’ve had the fortune of being able to travel over South East Asia while I was living at home: Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, Japan, China, Singapore, Malaysia and Jamaica as well. Its been a couple of years since I’ve been on a trip and I think it’s time I take a little vacation again I’ve already traveled Asia so that’s off the list… Europe’s too expensive so that’s off too… My father’s from Mexico and I know a couple of people from Brazil and Peru, so I’ve decided this should be my next destination. While tourist spots are popular for a reason and I would like to see them, I would also like to go to places that not everybody knows about. I want to:

visit local beaches
eat great food
party and rave with awesome people
Do a little hiking and camping
visit historic and cultural spots

‘m thinking I might hit up Brazil, Peru and Argentina but I still need to do a bit of research…

Where are the best places to visit in Latin/South America?

Thanks

My sister is married to a JERK w/plenty of money, he went to Peru to meet his “girlfriend” and all but emptied their accounts. She only has $60.00 until he gets home for herself and their 10 year old adopted son. Is there any thing she can do, or any where she can go for financial assistance. Or to get the JERK in trouble? She has no job or life skills, (yes, which I agree is completely her fault.) But, this still does not help her now, with her expenses or immediate needs. I don’t know if she’d qualify for WIC, or any other financial aid……Thanks for any help you can offer.
In the past, he has left enough money in the account for the house and car payments to be made, but as the marriage goes on, he is providing less and less. And, yes, while fast food requires no skills, it does not support day care and basic food needs.
She has been looking for employment, and was offered a job yesterday, but needs to find day care before she can accept it. But, this does not meet her immediate financial needs. It takes 2 weeks to get a first pay check and I’m not sure if the job can be held. I don’t know how long the Jerk will be gone either. And, yes, my Mom lives close by and is a good & solid example for her Grandson.
