John Davidson asked:

We won’t be the alpha dog in the western hemisphere forever.
Even if the U.S. hadn’t crashed into a financial crisis, there are demographic, material, and political forces that have been spreading power around the Americas for decades we will soon crash.
Brazil is first among the BRICs (Brazi, Russia, India, and China) — four economies that are supposed to overtake the six largest Western economies by 2032.
Mexico is first among the MAVINS (Mexico, Australia, Vietnam, Indonesia, Nigeria, and South Africa) — six economies we expect to blow away expectations and become the leading powers in their regions relatively soon.
Canada and Venezuela are oil powers of the distant future.
Peru and Chile are sitting on a fortune of metals and minerals.
All these countries are cranking up, while America faces plenty of fiscal and demographic problems at home for decades.
Here are Signs the U.S. Is Losing Its Influence In Its Own Backyard:
Our most powerful regional ally–Brazil–refuses to follow our orders on Iran
Hillary Clinton went to Brazil to beg support for sanctions against Iran and came away empty handed. Now the UN is counting on Brazil, which is friendly with America and Iran, to lead nuclear diplomacy. The World’s Richest Man is now a Mexican, not an American.
For the first time in 16 years, the World’s Richest Man is not an American. Carlos Slim, worth $54 billion, is the first Latin American to hold that title and one of many emerging market billionaires to eclipse the U.S Three years after a US financial crisis, Latin America is again growing rapidly. The U.S.? Not so much…
Compare this to what happened during the Great Depression. Latin America was devastated when U.S. investment dried up and the export market soured in the 30s. A League of Nations report said Chile, Peru, and Bolivia suffered the world’s worst depression. Today is quite different. Brazil, Argentina, and Mexico have led a buoyant recovery from the global recession, according to Reuters. The regional economy is expected by the UN to grow 4.6 percent in 2010. If the American consumer remains weak, Latin American exports will move elsewhere. Chile produces 300% more copper than America–the former world leader in copper production
America used to lead the world in copper production. We produced 49% of the world’s copper in 1929, according to this article from the archives. Today we produced 1.1 million tonnes yearly, compared to 5.6 million tonnes in Chile.

Brazil now produces over four times as much iron ore as the U.S.. We used to lead that industry, too.

America once led the world in iron mining. In 1892 we discovered the world’s largest mine at the Great Lakes Mesabi Range.
Now we claim reserves at 2,100 mt. Seven countries claim higher reserves, including Brazil at 8,900 mt. We produce only 52 mt yearly, while Brazil produces 250 mt.
Canada and Venezuela will pass the U.S. in oil production in the next decade America produces around 9 million billion barrels of oil a day. Venezuela and Canada each produce around 3 million. But America’s reserves are 21 billion barrels and may last less than a decade. Our oil-rich neighbors claim 99 billion bbl and 178 billion bbl, respectively, and will keep producing oil into the distant future.
Now Brazil exports over twice as much beef as we do America used to lead the world in beef production. Although we still export, America exports only 800,000 mt of beef per year. Brazil exports 2,200,000 mt. Here’s some ironic excerpts from a 1911 NYT article: “American-Canadian syndicate to have world’s largest beef plant in Brazil… The chilled beef industry has never been tried before in Brazil and has only recently gotten under way in Argentina.” Brazil is now a critical partner for Russia, India, and China The acronym coined by Goldman Sachs to describe the four key emerging powers has taken on a life of its own. Brazil, Russia, India, and China have held several summits and even discussed making a supranational currency — that would pull the rug out from the U.S. dollar.
What’s important here is that global emerging powers have good relations and are inclined to work together. For instance, China just signed major contracts to build factories and high-speed rail in Brazil. Brazil, Canada, and Mexico all invest a greater share of GDP in clean energy
A Pew survey found that Brazil invests 0.39% of its economy in clean energy. Canada invests 0.27% and Mexico invests 0.18%. America is eleventh in the world at 0.12%.
Hugo Chavez is still in power The CIA has a notorious history of interventions in Latin America, supposedly targeting Jacobo Arbenz Guzmán, Fidel Castro, Che Guevara, and many others. But they haven’t stopped Hugo Chavez from railing against the United States for years. Chavez has clearly stated that he will bring down USA one way or another. Clearly America has adopted a more passive regional strate
USA WILL be down around 6th place in the world or lower soon

Lucia x33 . asked:

Alright so I’m 12 years old. I thought my dad would like sexually touch me but I think I was just over exagerrating. My mom and I are very close but me and my dad aren’t. We see each other every day and stuff, his office is right next door but he’s either sleeping from 3 am-2 pm and working from 3 pm-2 am. No exagerating there. My dad drinks and smokes a lot. He’s 61 and my mom is 41, he’s smoked since he was 16 till now and doesn’t quit although he’s been in the hospital several time, my mom used to smoke but she quit. Anyways, my dream was that me and my mom were in Peru and I was telling my mother how I think they’re might ghosts in our home, the one we live in right now, all of a sudden…my dad starts talking to my mom through MSN messenger saying he’s gonna kill himself, I talk to my dad and tell him no don’t do anything stupid that I love him. Then he’s here in Peru outside the door. He started saying everything in his life is bad and that everything is horrible and I think he hit my mom and I and I punched and we started fighting. I ended up killing him I think. I don’t know is this normal or am I just freaking out over it?

Karoline hates Rick Scott asked:

Well so recently (well in May) I’m graduating from highschool, and I’m considering to enlist in the u.s. marines.
k so first off, I’m a 17 year old girl, my first jobs were in the Home Depot and petsupermarket, and automatic-gate installations/reparations.

All my life I’ve dreamed of being a Marine like my dad, but I’ve noticed that I’m afraid of sharks and though waters fascinating, I’m actually scared of it at the thought of being in it all the time.
Second, I’m strong; in both body and mind. Been a boxer for nearly 11 years (for fun) and really, after a LOT of social rejections and fights, I’ve learned to deal with ppl, I have a lot of friends, and I don’t give a *** about people criticizing me…
but really I’m scared of spiders and I’m TERRIFIED OF monkeys.

My mother (whos also been a Marine) said that many die, or come back home with mental problems and traumas, there are things that are gonna freak me out, and discipline has always been hard for me.. especillay waking up early, going in cold water, or eating ****.
So.. I want to be in the army becuase I want to show the people of my country (Peru) that we Peruvian women aren’t just for having kids or household chores, that a beautiful woman like me can show how much I love the United States and everything’s its done for me, now I want to do something for it too..

But Sincerely, I haven’t done much research and I just want to take the plunge.. but I don’t want to look anything up until I get a few answers. My friends say that there’s too much discipline, but the rest is easy.. for me. But I dont think it is and I might have to end this “Dream”

Any suggestions?
NO RUDE answers please, thanks in advance.

If we get married she won’t be able to come to stay in the UK automatically will she? I am so deeply in love with her and I can’t don’t want to lose her, we have been through much together our love is very deep for one another. She was here in the UK for a while, but then had to leave as her VISA expired, so what do I do?

I can travel to Peru and marry her, but even then she won’t be able to stay, ughhhh this is depressing me…..is there anything I can do to beat the system, protest outside the home office, get people to sign petitions what? I’ll do anything I love her that much? There are so many illegal emigrants in this country and my beautiful lady was refused and sent back.
Johnny Robinson asked:

I need someone to check my translations, whoever helps me the most will get ten points.

The first natural area is the Colca Canyon. What is interesting about the Canyon is that has scenic views.
What travelers could do is take alpaca rides down into the canyon or they could view the scenery from the lodges that overlook the canyon.

The second natural area is Huascarán National Park. With one of the longest tropical mountain ranges in the world the park is perfect for hikers and climbers.
You can take drives through the park and see all the wonderful hills, mountains, and alpine lakes.
What we could do is start off with a hike and then later in the day boat around one of the lakes.

One spectator sport that we could go see is a soccer game. To see a game we could go the Estadio Monumental soccer stadium in Lima, Peru. What we would see is a soccer game featuring the home team of Peru.

Another sport that we could participate in would be kayaking in the ocean. Peru has very nice oceans that you can boat, kayak, and swim in.
We would need to go to one of the boating stores on the beach that rents ocean kayaks.
We would see the beautiful ocean and beaches that Peru has to offer.

An adventure activity would be white water rafting. One of the places we could go white water rafting would be in Cusco on the Urubamba River. We would see all kinds of wildlife and plants along the river while we would be going down the white water rapids.
There are all kinds of gift shops that sell all kinds of products that our group could buy. It would offer everything from t-shirts, to mugs, to plush toys, to local candy and food. There are also unique souvenirs like sweaters, gloves and hats made from hand woven alpaca fur.
I would rate Peru a 1 out of 5 because there are so many great things to do that would interest anybody.

Homie Status asked:

Hello My Name Is Jose De La Fuente I’m from Peru
I Came Here To the States When I was a little child with my mom because my dad died when i was 7 and I was poor and The house I lived in was so small and it didn’t had no electricity
My Mom Had a Boyfriend Who was Always drunk and abusive to us But Our mom had suspicions though she pretended we were not telling the truth I assume Because We were so poor and he did in fact help us in alot of stuff still he always beat us when we got home saying we were good for nothing and breaking all the toys we had and he often beat up our mom I think it was cause he was drunk. It kept continuing until i was 13 and I decided To Man up and give this guy a Good Swing
Every Night I was Crying with my little brother because of all we were suffering
We were going through alot of pain. After We got through the Night In the Morning We always played with our friends til late in the afternoon. My Little Brother Was Everything to me when i was a little kid and I witness him die at a drive by and i rushed to him. He Died In my arms hes last words were:Brother Take Care of our Mother. I cried for days, weeks. When I turned 17 I went To Jail because I was Framed by another guy for robbery of a store. I served 3 months and Yes Jail no kid juvenile and it was terrible I got beat up once for being on the wrong territory. After I left the First Person I wanted to see was my mother I knew she wasn’t getting any younger and I just held for for a long time. She Finally told me she left her trashy boyfriend and she was doing a little better than before. I didn’t want my mother to continue working for things I needed So I decided To Work not just for me but for my mother and I did. Later On After I graduated High School Class of 1988.I was the First To Graduate in my family. I then decided To Join the Army. While I was in the army I have went through alot of stuff discipline, Loyalty, Honor. I then Knew These factors played a Huge Role In life. I then Went from the lowest step of stairs and gradually moving up. I Do No Pretend That stuff other than work will get me through with life.

I am now 30 living in California but I was raised In Brooklyn New York, Born In Peru
I am now doing well for my self Got Engaged and having a daughter.
I forgot to tell my mother died when I was 24 I went to her funeral and I told everyone there She Was The Best Mom ever and there ain’t a woman alive that can ever replace her

Fwefwe Qsxc asked:

dinosaurs are still alive, reason being is they have been spotted so many times. under water on land and in the air. many kinds, think about it, big foot hes been spotted every were thought the country, and each one has a different figures. because big foot aka monster aka dinosaur. “big foot has ate goats, dogs cows from owners farms, etc. in peru and mexico, africa and usa have seen the bird dinosaurs flying.and under water monsters aka dinosaurs. look its unexplainatory, but there alive. also if a metory hit and killed them all, WOW cool. how come nothing else died. and they say in todays world if a metory hit us today everything world die and burn, like the attomic bomb. okay if a metory hit and killed them all, WHY do we still have there bones. LOOK it was a metor the only why they die is when it hit and caused a huge explosion, and turn everything into ash, like the atomic bomb, every thing went ton ash. so yet we have there bones. REALLY? unless there were small meteors that hit ever dinosaur in the head and they died and then we keep there bones. look there still alive, a few but there still out there, the ****** gov. just does not say anything. like ufos. about that if ufo’s are fake and the vedios are fake, look at paintings 200- 500 years ago theres ufos on them. so if airplans were invented apx 100 years ago, so somethings up there. so think about it really good. the reason we think people that talk about this are crazy is because you never had the chance to look into it because you just go from work to home, home to work. so dinosaurs are still out there and so are ufos. theres so many planets and stars aka planets, and were the lucky ones to be the one with life,PLEASE!! were not alone. thank you. many spelling errors but not revising,
